Withywindle is derived from Tolkien's epic fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings, and is the name of a dark-brown peacefull river sided by ancient willows, which flows through Middle Earth and the land of the Elves. This description reflects the compassion of our residential environment, the 'Land of Maas en Waal' between the rivers Meuse and Waal.
